The name “Kodiak Press” is an ode to all of Alaska and the wild beauty that has profoundly shaped my life and creative journey.
The time I spent in Alaska in my earlier years, gifted me with remarkable memories of its breathtaking terrain, the people, wildlife, and invaluable lessons that continue to influence my art and soul today.
At an early age, my mother, a fascinating artist who believed in a diverse education, introduced me to charcoal sketching classes with live models. My creative journey led me to a few wonderful art schools, complemented by various trade schools and enriching travel experiences.
I treasure my time and education exploring various artistic genres including watercolor, oil painting, acrylics, charcoal, pen & ink, stained glass, photography, clothing design, and digital art.
After a deeply cherished career in the equine industry and a few side hustles with art, I am now fortunate to dedicate myself entirely to my passion for painting and creating daily journals for Kodiak Press.
Journaling can be an exceptional outlet—a revealing and constructive means of articulating one's deepest emotions in the sanctuary of a personal notebook.
Creating these journals with my art for others to chronicle their lives, has been an extraordinary endeavor and a source of profound validation.
